Our Story
From 50 chickens to a thriving enterprise
When founder Omphemetse Ranoto was a teenager, she invested her Christmas money in 50 broiler chickens instead of new jeans. Those birds sold out fast — and that single decision set her on a path that grew into Pheme Everlast.
Today we are a diversified agricultural enterprise serving households, retailers and commercial buyers. We've grown turnover by 700%, sell 8,000–10,000 broilers per week, and continue to expand through innovation, commercial farming initiatives and strategic partnerships.
We remain committed to ethical, sustainable farming and to empowering our community — especially women and young people — to see agriculture as a path to independence.
